I don’t often write reviews but Calvin and his team did such a super job I felt to compelled to recommend him to others.
I’ve been a homeowner for over thirty years and have hired contractors for many different jobs, including adding a second story addition. I also manage a small apartment complex that requires occasional upgrades.
My experience with Calvin was nothing but positive. From the initial phone call to the site survey to the planning and finally to installation Calvin was on point.
I had a good plan in mind but with Calvin’s knowledge we came up with an improved version of my original vision. My project included removal of the entire front yard; mostly lawn. He then installed the following:
- Three zone drip irrigation which included new valves
- New low voltage yard lighting
- Tied in to the existing drain pipes and added additional
- A low wall made with cinder block covered with natural stone
- New DG pathway with natural stone insets
- Creating artistic mounding of the new 4″s of topsoil that was delivered
- Installing over 75 new plants
- Adding a layer of redwood mulch
- Adding 3-5″ cobblestones to the areas not covered in mulch
Calvin’s price was very reasonable and there were absolutely no surprises. Paid in three installments as work progressed.
There were a few minor changes as the project progressed and Calvin’s response was always positive and an affirmative “Got it”.
From initial call to end of job no longer than 2 1/2 weeks AND Calvin is the guy doing the work, with a few additional helpers. He’s a small business owner who takes pride in his work and makes sure it’s done right.
I was so impressed I had Calvin install a new concrete side yard for me a few weeks later.
You’ll be happy to have found Calvin….I just wish I had earlier!
